Orso Posted October 12 Posted October 12 What should one do when you want to build a 1/72 scale F-117 and learn that the kit you bought has major faults? My choice was to build it. But I didn't follow the instructions to close. I moved the wings as far to the rear as possible. Then I added some canards in the front. The result was the SAAB JAS 40 Höken (The Hawk) In the box laid and equally faulty 1/144 kit so I didn't want to build it but I got an idea. Why not combine the 1/144 F-117 with a 1/43 Ferrari? The result is a Lockheed F1-17 Formula One car. 14 4
2996 Victor Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Two excellent builds there - very much enjoyed seeing them! Cheers, Mark
ArnoldAmbrose Posted October 13 Posted October 13 G'day, that F1/17 is VERY clever, I wouldn't have picked the original kit you used. Very well done. Regards, Jeff. 1

Karearea Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Both are superb, but I love how well the GP car works. I would have been tempted to do the plane from Executive Decision. 1
SprueMan Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Great stuff! I love these funky creative ideas and executions.
AlbertLima Posted November 3 Posted November 3 I love the race car idea, it reminds me a lot of the McDonald's Hot Wheels car I got when I was a kid and still have, albeit heavily playworn: https://hotwheels.fandom.com/wiki/Black_Track
