Got this very nice diecast in with my bbmf builds, always bugged me though that it is a mki with the too short nose so about time I correct it, hoping to rub the serial off and use the hasegawa serials to make it the wartime version, got some spare serials for lf363 so I can use the rest of the decals on the build :) IMG-8166.jpg

The small touch up starboard blends well but the large one ports stand outs out under varnish not sure if I should add the serial or notIMG-8193.jpgIMG-8192.jpg

Could you repaint that whole dark green section?

Supposed I could do the port side if I’m careful around the code letters……

Edit: I've done the whole section, added the new serial and the matt coat is drying

Yep though ground to a halt, wheels need sanding down to fit in the bays in the up position, just like with the revell kit and I had another built to start, wheels will be my next task  edit: actually much easier than the revell kit, cut the detail from the bays, cut a raised bit of door, then a few passes with a rasp and it’s done IMG-8210.jpg

Oh dear, doing the decals on this made me realise I didn’t think this through, the eduard codes are way too dark as are xtradecal ones, they were a very light grey on the real thing, went with white which are too light and not the right shape, oh well IMG-8313.jpg

Sigh, really should have done my research before embarking on this, would have ruled it out and stuck with the diecast as it is, the real prop does not exist in plastic so its a hybrid that needed surgery to work as its the props and spinner cone from the Arma mk1 with the backplate from the hasegawa and its not sitting right, probably need to take it off and sand the base. Oh well done aside from that and cutting the stand hole
