Davek72 Posted September 7 Posted September 7 I think the very first Tamiya I ever built was the Panzerkampfwagen II in 1/35 in the DAK boxing which has been around since 1971. I probably built it in about 1980 and probably made a complete mess of it....but I remember it being fun and then playing with it with my 1/35 plastic soliders. That's a long winded way of saying that Tamiya, alongside Airfix and Matchbox, were some of my earliest modelling memories. I almost went with another Panzerkampfwagen II in 1/35 but my head was turned by the very much more recent 1/48 kit. I have only build a couple of Tamiya 1/48 armour kits but have been really impressed. The build will be OTB but I may try my hand at a base if I have the time. Sprues all look very nice. The detail is right up there with the 1/35 kit from 50 years ago. As always all comments welcome. Dave 14 1
Col. Posted September 7 Posted September 7 This certainly looks to be a nice kit Dave and I hope you have the time to create a base for it. 1

A rare occurrence but fab fun. I also sorted out the stash and realise I have more kits than I think I can ever complete...doh. Davek72 Posted September 14 Author Posted September 14 Not much time this week but got up early today and have done a coast of paint and am now weathering. Not really sure what I am doing as I am mainly a place and figure modeller... 9
jean Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Not knowing what we are doing can be fun, and the end result pretty surprising! So far, so good. Have fun. JR. 1 1
Col. Posted September 15 Posted September 15 You look to be doing it right if the results are anything to judge from Dave 1
