Popular Post pacificmustang Posted August 29 Popular Post Posted August 29 Converted from the Italeri 1/48 Wessex HAS1 with the addition of @hendies superb detail sets. In this instance, his interior, cockpit and exterior details sets. I also sourced the stores carrier and fuel tank from a local producer here in Australia/ The kit itself was a bit of a mixed bag with some fit problems, inaccuracies and soft detail. Still far ahead of the Revell kit though, which is all we had for years. Decals are from L decals and the now OOP Southern Sky Models Quite happy with it although there are still heaps of details I could have added. At some stage I will add the wire aerials that pass under the tail. Paints are GSI Character white and Blue 328. with a touch of black added. I saw this actual machine on standby at the Australian F1 Grand Prix, Adelaide. way in back in 1987, so was quite excited to be able to recreate it in miniature. Bruce 95 2 17 13

NAVY870 Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Superb build Bruce, definitely nailed it. The above pic was taken when HU816 Squadron was on a flyaway to RAAF Edinburgh right before we went back into work ups for our Counter terrorism role out of RAAF East Sale. To say we were a bit naughty on that trip is like saying the Pacific ocean is a mite damp, the Ronnies werent at all sorry when we left. 36 is still kicking and is on display at NAS Nowra, she was the last 31B to fly 5 1 1
CJP Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Lovely work Bruce, the RAN blue & white colour scheme really suits the Wessex Chris 1
kelly9mm Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Super clean and detailed work. Pure pleasure to watch! Cheers, Marcin 1 1
