Steve. 3
Beard Posted October 6 Author Posted October 6 A few more things have been ticked-off the to-do list. Just the tailwheel to paint and the matt coat to do. Thanks for looking. 10
stevehnz Posted October 7 Posted October 7 A good looking finish on this Simon, your matt coat should look good on it. 👍 Steve. 1 1

Thanks Gentlemen. It's had a matt coat (photos will follow) and I'm deciding whether to do any weathering. 2
Beard Posted October 7 Author Posted October 7 Proof it's had its matt coat... I'm going to do some exhaust staining, using some AK pencils. I also need to replace one of the outer wing guns because I managed to push it into the wing when picking the kit up...🙄 The canopy also needs some touching-up. Thanks for looking. 7 1

Courageous Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Thought I had better catch up with the progress of some group builds and this had scrubbed-up really nicely although my heart missed a beat when I thought you'd messed up the fuselage codes but all was good and she looks fabulous with the matt coat. Good work Simon. Stuart 1 1

Rabbit Leader Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Another stunner Simon. I’m extremely tempted to build a black Hurricane after seeing these ones posted here. Well done. Cheers.. Dave 1 1
Wings unlevel Posted October 19 Posted October 19 Glad to see everything got crossed off that list, as you’ve done a fantastic job with this. Really like how you’ve weathered and finished it. And thanks for bringing it to the GB. 👏 1

Rabbit Leader Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Congratulations on another fine Hurricane build. I think we are in for a bit of a whirlwind (or should that read Hurricane🌀) finish to this GB so it’s great to these fine kits all coming tighter rather nicely. Well modelled @Beard. Cheers.. Dave 1 1

Beard Posted October 29 Author Posted October 29 I've been busy with life and the need to decide what finish to have on this: (I'm thinking a semi-translucent red, so you can see the wood grain, like this: Opinions are welcome (as long as they are the same as mine).) Anyway, despite the destructions, Ive been fiddling with this build and it's nearly finished. Thanks for looking. 1

Is that something you’re building or restoring? For finish I’m thinking it would look fantastic in classic dark earth and dark green…! 5 hours ago, Beard said: Anyway, despite the destructions, Ive been fiddling with this build and it's nearly finished. This is for your Mk IV build year? It’s sure looking tough and ready to make some noise! 😂 1

No, a friend is making it. 9 hours ago, Wings unlevel said: For finish I’m thinking it would look fantastic in classic dark earth and dark green…! I think a Strat in Azure Blue would look rather smart. Edited October 30 by Beard to correct spelling. 1
