Once upon a time, I would build several kits in a Group Build (I think my record was 9) but now I am so much older than before, I struggle to build one.

Not in this GB though. I'm doing an AZ Hurricane IV and I'm starting another, just like in the good old days before life and it's little miseries do their best to stop me making 3 or 4 kits a month.

This will be an OOB build of the Arma Hobby IIB, using the kit's decals - I've made a fair few Hurricanes but mostly they've been MTO or SEAC - not sure which one to do yet.

I won't bore you with the box top but here are the sprues...

You'll notice I've removed the IIC wings. If anyone wants them, drop me a PM and they're yours, no questions asked.

I've also made a start with the painting by giving all the bits that'll be aluminium an undercoat of Tamiya XF-1 (they've since had a coat of XF-16 but i couldn't be bothered to take a photo).

Thanks for looking.

Assembly looks to have been fuss free. 👍

The wings will need a little fettling though.

Nice steady progress Simon. It looks as though it goes together well. This pleases me, now I've thrown my hat into the ring. :)

Have you checked that the internal fuselage structure isn't fouling the fit of the wing?  This is a common feature caused by poor location of the upper attachments of the side frames.  There must be nothing sticking below the line joining port and starboard in this area.  I had worse fit than yours, and correction much improved it.  I will not say it is currently perfect.

I had a look at that and there's no interference between the cockpit bits and the wing.

I think it's just that the wing is a tight fit. Gentle pressure gets rid of the gap at the front, but causes the back not to fit.

I think you're thinking of the Arma Hobby Mk.I, that has separate side framing in the cockpit; this is a Mk.II, which doesn't.

Doesn’t look too troublesome.

It wasn't.

I have, can you guess which one I've gone for?

Gloss coat next, then the stickers.

Hmm, it’s hard IIb sure, but I really like how it’s looking! 😂

Painted and gloss coated, and started the decaling...

The fuselage roundel has torn, I'll probably touch it up (no sniggering at the back).

Also, an issue with the clear parts... I seem to have lost one of the landing lights.

I'm pretty sure I have some in the spares box so all may not be lost.

Thanks for looking.

Missed this one from a few weeks back, however glad I’m on to it now. 3-4 kits a month is a massive output, my dream goal is twelve kits a year, I think my best in any given calendar year is six, so still a long way off.

Cheers and your Hurri is looking good… Dave

Quantity, rather than quality.

Despite life getting in the way, I've been slowly working on this one.

Started masking the canopy, using the templates Arma Hobby provide...

And applying the decals...

(Yes, I forgot to stuck the the bits that stop the pilot being dazzled by the exhausts and tore the outer band of the fuselage roundel.)

Thanks for looking.

Must say I found the Techmod decals forgiving until they weren’t, too, Looks terrific, there is just something about an all black Hurricane.

But it's not black, it's Tamiya NATO Black. 😄

Thanks. I had no idea the decals were by Techmod.

After an unsuccessful trip to town, no sucuk/ sujuk to be found anywhere (although I did buy some new slippers and a spatula!), I've spent some time fiddling with the Hurricane.

Manage to break the tailwheel but the spares box came to my rescue...

Here's where it is now, with my to-do list...
