johnlambert Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Here are some of my many Tamiya builds. I think Tamiya is my favourite model company. Tamiya Sharman Firefly 1:48 Mitsubishi Zero 1:72 Supermarine Spitfire 1:72 Austin Mini Cooper S 1:24 I need to upload some more, but I hope I've given some inspiration. 19
johnlambert Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Since someone has said that they will be building a version of this kit. This is my take on the Tamiya Citroen 2CV. If you're modelling the roof open (and the interior is nice enough that you would want to) you might want to add some more detail to the upper parts of the interior, even just scribing some shut lines. Although it's only really an issue when you take a close-up photo like this. 14 5
Milan Mynar Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Here you are my first Tamiya kit I built it 1995 year. 20
Alex.B Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Don Gentile's P-51B in 1/48. That is a commission build from some years ago 18 1

jean Posted September 2 Posted September 2 I only have photos for one Tamiya kit. It will have to do. Thanks for watching. JR. 14 2
Alex.B Posted September 5 Posted September 5 The Raybrig NSX that I built around 2010 or 2011. I don't know why, but over the years the 1,5mm plasticard that I used for the asphalt somehow deformed a little bit 🤷♂️ 16
Alex.B Posted September 12 Posted September 12 This is the Jordan 191 that I built some yers ago. This car is not only one of the prettiest F1 car ever, but was the car that started the legend of Michael Schumacher in SPA-Francorchamps. In order to build a replica of Schumacher car I used an aftermarket decal sheet (don't remember the brand, maybe Shunko) 10 1
johnlambert Posted September 15 Posted September 15 I've noticed that someone is doing the Lotus Super 7, here's one I made earlier. I added a few bits under the bonnet. It's nice to have seatbelts, but boy were they a faff to do. The back wheels should click into place on the axle, the one on the passenger side is a bit wobbly. I used some moulded letters to make the number plates. 11

stevehnz Posted September 19 Posted September 19 I've not built many Tamiya kits, silly boy 'cause what a lovely thing to build this was. Built for a F-84 STGB last year, I used a Model Art resin photo tank & Hi-decal decals for the Danish Markings. There was also the Tamiya Fw 190A-3 in the RAF colours of a captured one. I used Rising decals for the markings. & that folks was that, the sum total of my Tamiya builds. Soon to be rectified. With a Lotus 7 in this GB. Steve. 9
johnlambert Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Another set from the archives. I've just finished a 1:35 Simca 5 in civilian colours. I've previously done this 1:35 Citroen Traction Avant, which is one of my favourite 1930s cars. I've done this Austin Utility Car in 1:35 but I don't have any photos handy, this is the 1:48 version. Whatever scale, it's a subject full of charm. Also in 1:48 I bought the twin pack of the FW-190 and Citroen Light 15. The proportions of the Citroen don't quite look right to me but they make a nice pair. You even get some figures although the pilot being assisted with his 'chute are not Tamiya. 6 1
