Hmmm, good question. I had to do a bit of research on this one.

 

The lineage seems clear but it does get muddled up in that confusing period were the A24, A27L, and A27M - Cavalier, Centaur, and Cromwell came into being, at least confusing to me.

 

I would say no; part of a Cromwell STGB perhaps.  I will let the omnipotent @Enzo the Magnificent Group Build Moderator Supreme rule on that.

 

Perhaps next year there will be proposal for a Cromwell STGB.

Fair enough I have a pile of bits in the MoD that will now await a Cromwell STGB or something similar. That whole area of development is murky to say the least and as for finding out if they were ever used for anything well forget it.

 

Now to decide on a Crusader to build, I may have a cunning plan.....

Greetings, supporters of an armour GB in 2026. Based on early numbers it appears this STGB won't make the cut.

Well, it looks like neither will make it unfortunately. In any event both had my support from the word go, all I could do was withdraw it from others, to feebly undermine close competitors 🙄

 

Better luck next year, maybe the aircraft proposals will be less strong thematically and splinter the aircraft lobby
