Built box stock. Digital camo is paint, not decals. MRP paint. Didn't come with any armament, I didn't add any.

Here’s my attempt a building Airfix’s excellent 1:48 Gloster Meteor F.8

The only aftermarket was the Quinta Studio 3D decals, IP & seat harness.

I opted not to show either the canon or Derwent engine bays, both are available and I’m sure would make for an interesting display, perhaps next time?

There’s only one area to be extra carful with during the build and that’s the front landing gear/nose section, for some reason the lending gear was too far forward, not by much (just enough to be annoying), and that caused a gap where it fitted and also meant I couldn’t fit the front landing gear cover without cutting it down. The more I think about it I’m sure I fitted the cockpit sub-assembly a smidge too far forward?, so these issues were self inflicted.

I chose to portray an aircraft from the short lived Evergreen Display Team, Collage of Air Warfare RAF 1963-64.

MRP and Tamiya (LP-11) paints were used for the camo’ and ‘high speed silver’ colours.

Here’s the photo’s

Here is my attempt at building Academy's OV-10D in 1/72.
Mostly out of the box, with the exception of 3D printed pilots from Paddinghous, Airfix stand and Evergreen styrene strips and profiles.
For the camo I have used Mr. Hobby aqueous colours.
Here are some photos

We invited The Dorset Printman to the Salisbury show back in 2023 and he had just started making kits of the Bristol Belvedere as a 3d print. Only a few parts to the kit as is usual for these modern offerings but it looked excellent apart from the glazing which looked 'sub optimal'. Having sat it on the window sill curing for a summer while I wondered what to do about the windows I noticed the original rotor blades had distorted and needed replacing. I saw the The Dorset Printman at Telford and he promptly gave me a new improved set of rotor blades and hubs which were much better. Hows that for customer support! Thus invigorated I decided the kit was now worth building, I just needed to have a go at vacforming my own transparancies. This I promptly did and am very pleased with the final result.

So here we have a 1/48 Bristol Belvedere and a great model it produces.

Decals are from Xtradecal for the serials and roundals with the stencils etc from the bits bix.

I notice the 2 preserved examples in Hendon and Weston Supermare are both quite glossy so I left it in a quite shiny finish.

PS the 'drop tanks' are actually emergency supplies storage containers. Thanks to Dave from 'the Helicopter museum' for that

OV-10A Bronco of the Royal Moroccan Airforce, Marrakech 1981.  Hasegawa 1/72 kit with Reskit main wheels, Master brass pitot, Decals from Kits World KW 172 141.  The Moroccan Airforce ordered 24 Broncos for counter insurgency missions over Western Sahara, but only the first 6 were delivered.  The type was found to be unsatisfactory for the vast area involved and they finished their service flying coastal surveillance (not from Marrakech!).
