Wings unlevel Posted July 21 Posted July 21 (edited) Welcome to the Hawker Hurricane 90th anniversary STGB! The Hurricane first flew on 6 November 1935, and this GB is a great opportunity to mark that significant milestone in aviation history, and to celebrate one of WW2's most significant combat aircraft. All variants of the Hurricane and Sea Hurricane, as well as the Henley and Hotspur, are eligible, in all scales and mediums. With almost 15,000 built through until 1944, and the aircraft seeing service in most every theatre during the Second World War, no doubt we'll see a fantastic variety of subjects, schemes and markings built. Let's see what percentage of that 15,000 we can get into the gallery before 6 November. I'm really pleased to have @stevehnz as co-host, and as usual we serve under the good graces of our benevolent GB master, @Enzo the Magnificent Any issues or concerns please reach out. Please post a 'WiP' thread for each model with regular updates of your progress within the STGB timescale. If you're building multiple models you’re welcome to use a single thread if there’s a common theme, or otherwise maintain seperate WIP threads for each. The standard 25% rule applies - any completed build that was less than 25% complete at the start of GB is eligible for posting in the gallery. If you have a build which is already more than 25% complete you’re most welcome to document its completion in a thread here, but please post images of the completed build in the inspiration gallery. As usual, no buying/selling/wanted posts. Please use the other appropriate BM forums for that. Let's all actively and respectfully comment on each other's posts, share tips and knowledge, and leave reactions, in the spirit of collaboration that got those 15,000 Hurricanes built!
