Managed to get some paint down. Primed with Mr Surfacer 1500 black. AK real colors SCC15 followed by the Mike Starmer new mix then a little Buff added for some highlights.

I'll look at doing some detail painting next.

Great paintwork Stuart. Very clean and crisp. 👍👍

Many thanks Stef that's most appreciated.

I have to say that the AK Real colors paint mixed with Mr Color Levelling Thinner is an absolute dream to spray and makes life a lost less stressful 👍

Paintwork is looking really nice Stuart, :like:  That SLT really works well, just got to leave it a bit longer before handling as it takes longer to dry hard,  I've made that mistake before, but if you do get any fingerprints in the paint, a quick spray of some neat SLT makes them go away.

Not had too much time at the bench lately but I've applied the Winter wash.

I used VMS chipping medium followed by a whiteish Tamiya acrylic layer mixed with acrylic thinners. This was done over two applications. I then applied some AK Gouache Snow White brush painted in a few areas.

Might still add some sponge chipping but the weathering layers should tone things down a bit.

I'll do some detail painting next then seal everything with a Satin varnish coat.

I won't get this finished for the deadline but will obviously keep going and post in the RFI once fully complete.

This is as far as I've got. Most of the oil paint work is done and I'll be moving onto the mud effects next.

Many thanks to everyone involved in the Group Build.....I've learnt a lot about Churchills and have enjoyed seeing everyone's projects 👍

Cheers

Stuart
