tank_me Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I got into tank stuff back around 2003 when I bought an RC 1/6th scale M5 Stuart. That led me to volunteering at a local museum wrenching on and restoring real tanks. The museum is now closed, but my primary focus has been 1/16th scale RC tanks. Lately I've been on a British kick. I can't seem to stay focused on one project so I've added a1/16th RTR RC Crusader to the stable which already included a Firefly, a Centurion, and a Chieftain. In addition I've been printing other 1/16th tanks like the Tortoise, Conqueror, Comet, Cromwell, and a Matilda. 5
HK-500 Posted July 6 Posted July 6 (edited) Hello from France, tank buff, and welcome aboard 😉. And a special thought for all the people suffering from the floods in Texas. Edited July 6 by HK-500 2
Corsairfoxfouruncle Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Hello Tank … from somewhere north of you in Chicago. I’ve been building since 1979 and nothing really makes me want to stop. I’ve slowed down in the last couple of years from health issues but thats about it. Personally I mostly build military aircraft, though will take on the odd piece of armor or the occasional ship now. RossFMJ Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Hi Tank, welcome aboard . It'd be good to see some 1/16th stuff as that seems very quiet at the moment. I'm sitting on a Trumpeter T-34/76 I've had for nearly 20 years which I suppose is for my retirement, though it's got the wrong turret. I must admit all those British RC tanks are very tempting. I'd love to see where your going with the 3D prints
