johnlambert Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Incredible work. If you'd said it was a 1:24 scale model, I'd have believed you. 1 1 1

SnøMotion Posted July 5 Posted July 5 In spite of the fight this little thing put up, you’ve done a cracking job, Ross! It really has come out superbly I really can’t get my head around these tiny kits, I feel like they’re pretty much sausage finger prohibitive Martin 1 1

Remember, it did take me two kits to get this right . At this scale my fingers shake with twice the amplitude and wavelength. 1 1

I’ve started holding everything with one hand and resting my other hand on that hand, when brush painting. It synchronises the shake quite effectively! Martin 3

JCH Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I have to admit I'm not a fan of yellow. Having said that, this car works in that color aided greatly by the quality of the finish and build. It doesn't hurt being a McLaren. Great build!!! 1

I thought that was stunning, so I've achieved my aim of copying the original. 1 hour ago, JCH said: I have to admit I'm not a fan of yellow. Apparently you're not alone, yellow cars lose more value than any other colour car. Me, I love yellow. I don't actually like McLarens as I feel there's something very boring and clinical about them, but this and the real one it was based on just had a fluidity of line that really got to me, which is why I took a lot of care. 2

Apols for tardy reply to your RFI Ross, not keeping on top of my notifications. But as has already been said that is an absolute stunner, really gorgeous finish, and I really like yellow too, so I love that colour (so much that seeing your build thread I've bought some from Proscale too!) Really beautiful McLaren! Keith 2 1

Thank you Keith, yes it is a....er....striking colour. I may have to buy more 😎, particularly if Revell get round to bringing their 750S out. 1 hour ago, HK-500 said: Impressive precision at that scale , and no mistakes allowed with all these air intakes and grilles😳👍 Merci M. Cinque Cents, I have to admit I made all the mistakes first time around so that I had none left to make second time 2 1
