Flying Badger Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Temu experiment pure photoetch Lunar Module. I've made it as LM-5 "Eagle" used for Apollo 11. There is no scale on the envelope (as it's flat PE sheets it comes in an envelope not a box) but the original is 7.04m long (height I guess) and this is just under 50mm so thats 1:144 as near as damn it. It's entirely PE and is held together just by small folding tabs. I did add a dab of CA glue to hold the RCS thrusters from wobbling too much but that's all. Clear acrylic laser cut/engraved base made at work. Not a bad little kit all in all and for £2.60 it's amazing. (Anyone spot the stupid typo? Will be re-doing the base tomorrow). WIP thread: 20 1
AdrianMF Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Nice PE! 1/144 steering rockets are tiny! 20 landing, 12 lift off should presumably be 22? Regards, Adrian 1

Regards, Adrian Thanks, Yes I got the numbers of the lift off date the wrong way around. Landed on 20th July and lifted off on 21st July after spending just 21hrs 36min and 20sec on the Moon. I've corrected it now by making another base on the laser cutter - the old one got used as a test piece for a colour matched splash back for my 1:1 scale bathroom I'm "scratch building" for my wife at the moment 😉 FB 1
