Marklo Posted June 27 Posted June 27 So I’m going to just post one build thread for the 1/144 aircraft as I reckon updating nine individual threads would be too much plus most of the builds will be very short. First off some sprue shots The Harrier MIG Typhoon Tempest Wildcat Second wildcat Me262 C47 Need to decide on schemes. Probably kit schemes but I’ll probably do the second wildcat in RAF colours and I may do the C47 as a tow plane to go with my Horsa. 14
jean Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Hi, this looks like a very busy schedule. Courage! Years ago I started the 1/144 Revell Harrier GR.5 (or was it GR7?). The shapes of the canopy and nose were way off. I tried to fixed it... did not quite work out... So tossed it into the spare parts box. So I am looking forward to see your take on ll these models. Have fun. JR 1
Marklo Posted July 17 Author Posted July 17 Work has started here I’m adding nose weight to the Mig. I’ve also desprued all bar three of other the kits. 3
Marklo Posted July 19 Author Posted July 19 Assembly of the 144 largely complete. And the Harrier. The wing is dry fitted until I can add a bit of nose weight. Started the C47. None of the WWII kits have any interior so I’m going to have to build some cockpits next for most of the other kits. 7
Marklo Posted September 1 Author Posted September 1 Holly and Lily being unusually photogenic ( yes Lily only has three legs) The Mig is almost ready for paint. My Heracles is actually finished. 9
Marklo Posted September 6 Author Posted September 6 A bit of bench time today but not feeling 100% so didn’t do that much. First on the chopping block got this as part of a job lot of small revell kits. This one is the hurricane which is repainted so it’s a pretty straightforward assembly job. almost finished Need to scratch interiors for all six of these. That’s the C47 done just steering wheels needed. And the 262 just needs a seat and stick. I also put main wheels on the 747 and started on the Zeppelin Stakken fuselage. The TSR and the Mig are nearly paint ready and the two shuttles are ready for black. 6
Marklo Posted September 30 Author Posted September 30 Assembly almost completed on the 262 getting the nose weight in was a little tricky. 4
Corsairfoxfouruncle Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Not bad but looks like it will need a wee bit of filler.

Marklo Posted October 6 Author Posted October 6 Lilly and Holly looking cute in their new collars. Bulkhead floor and ip added to Hellcat. The same on the second hellcat, the Tempest and the Typhoon and main assembly completed. Wing roots are going to need filler on all four. Filler on the 262. And the C47. 4
Marklo Posted October 14 Author Posted October 14 Four fighters sanded. Which means I’m almost ready for a mega painting session 😄 comprising the following 1. B24 (B24 STGB) 2. C47 3. Mig 144 4. 262 5. Hellcat 1 6. Hellcat 2 7. Typhoon 8. Tempest 9. Zeppelin Stakken 10. Blackjack (postwar twins) 11. Sea Venom (twin boom GB) 4
Marklo Posted October 20 Author Posted October 20 No photos but the canopies are all attached which I’ll hopefully mask tomorrow.
Marklo Posted October 22 Author Posted October 22 So I’ve lost a tempest and gained a Jaguar (£1.99 off Kingkit) all except the jaguar now have their canopies masked so lots of primer to be applied tomorrow. 3

Whats the Big butt delta/canard next to the Jag ???
Marklo Posted October 23 Author Posted October 23 It’s a Mig 144 - revell kit experimental fighter not unlike the Berkut. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikoyan_Project_1.44?wprov=sfti1# 1
Marklo Posted October 28 Author Posted October 28 Basically if it stayed still for too long today it got a coat of primer, came very close to having two grey cats.Speaking of which one blurry primed hellcat make that two C47 Harrier Typhoon, really have to find the tempest Plus the 262 got primed too. Tomorrow some presage plus the Zeppelin Stakken’s going to start getting some camo… 5
Marklo Posted October 29 Author Posted October 29 light blue in the underside of the MIG AK RLM65 looked the closest. Sone AK RLM 76 on the 262. I also got a coat of white in the TSR2 and the undersides of one of the hellcats . 4
Marklo Posted Tuesday at 04:19 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 04:19 PM Ocean grey on the upper surfaces. Trust me it does look different to the primer…. 1
