ArnoldAmbrose Posted June 27 Posted June 27 G'day All, although I'm usually a ship modeler I've sometimes dabbled elsewhere. Yonks and yonks ago I crudely scratch built some aircraft from plywood and balsa in 1/250 scale. From left to right:- F-111C swept, F-15, SR-71, F-18, F-111C extended and RA-5C Vigilante (the first). And more recently some even more crudely scratch built in polystyrene in 1/600 scale. I won't show all of those here, just some. Vought Corsair and Supermarine Spitfire:- Grumman F7F Tigercat:- Nakajima Hayabusa Ki-43 Oscar:- Bristol Beaufighter:- And some German aircraft still under construction, Bf 109T and Ju87 Stukas:- The squares on the cutting mat are 1cm a side. Regards, Jeff. 19 2

stevej60 Posted June 30 Posted June 30 Morning folk's again I'll keep it short as only one other small scale build ever completed ICM,TU144. 15
bianfuxia Posted June 30 Posted June 30 Some of my 1/144 collection: Supersonic corner. There's a Concorde, obviously, and SR-71 and B-58, some lifting bodies, a pair of X-3s, some random Soviet test types, a paper project for a supersonic Harrier, and the little one far in the back is a non-supersonic test plane called the Hummingbird. 12 1

Or a bored girlfriend….. I did try to find a suitable audience but with no joy. I know that Masterbox has a range of 1/24 figures (I am halfway through making the one that looks like me) but if any one knows of anything suitable I don’t mind adding to it. 2
ModelingEdmontonian Posted June 30 Posted June 30 (edited) Sweet Hurricanes, P-51s, P-47s, Bf 109, and Wildcats; Platz P-51s and P-47s; and one Zvezda Hurricane: Edited June 30 by ModelingEdmontonian 18 2
hakkikt Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Type 212A submarine, Revell kit, 1/144. I made a few improvements to the instruments and the lights on the side of the sail, and added 1/144 figures from NATO maintenance personnel. The "old leather" effect of the surface was achieved by blackbasing, i.e. dense spotting of the top colour on a black base coat, with the paint more thinned as the layers add up. 14
Brad Posted July 2 Posted July 2 A couple of mine; Airfix 1/76 Bloodhound missile. Bronco 1/350 Type IX U boat. 12 1
gwyndaffandy Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Another one of mine from a few years back, the Airfix 1/76 recovery set, some Dapol 1/76 railway stuff. In the window of the model shop are 2x 1/700 planes from a Trumpeter aircraft carrier that sadly never sailed. Please ignore the 1/72 Airfix 109 for this group build. 15 1
zebra Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Quite a lot of my modelling for the past few years has been in 1/144 so there are too many to share here, but here are my highlights: Amodel Tu-104A - from my first ever group build: Anigrand Convair Tradewind: EC-24A and NKC-135A - Minicraft kits with 3D-printed conversion. Adam Poultney Posted July 2 Posted July 2 I have so many I could add here! A full set of V bombers.... wouldn't it be nice if it was a 1/144 Vulcan B1 instead of a B2 for the full early set... Speaking of... A Vulcan B1! Converted from a Cyberhobby Vulcan B1 (1/200) The Victor B1 previously shown, with a Victor B2.R A pair of Beacon Models models A very old Valiant kit The easier Roden He111 A tiny Tupolev (1/360 iirc) A less tiny (1/144) Tu144 A Vulcan Shockingly, another Vulcan An unusually marked Vulcan 14 2
