Farmer matt Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Part nine has gone over 40 pages already, keep on with those great spots here..... To kick this one off, a tidy E30 Touring. Matt 16

A visit to the Postal Museum in London had these treats: 1935 Morris Minor made custom to Post Office specifications. Motorbike for telegrams delivery. There was no information on year or model so perhaps the collective brain here will be able to identify it? And a 1983 Dodge Hi-Line. 8 1
Farmer matt Posted June 12 Author Posted June 12 Bike is registered as a 1941 BSA. Hopefully someone will know more... Matt 4

Rob Sutto Posted June 13 Posted June 13 I passed a pristine mustard yellow Capri Mk.I on a trailer heading north on the M6 yesterday 👌 6

As well as thousands in military service they were used as postal bikes during WWII. That one looks like it may have been 'civilianised' post-war as many were. Too many shiny bits... but it looks great! 2
othertales Posted June 15 Posted June 15 It did look really great. Sadly not displayed in the best way and poorly lit but it still managed to stand out 🤩 1
klubman01 Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Yesterday, a group of us from Bomber County Minis attended the Tattershall Thorpe village fete and classic car show, hosted on the grounds of the The Blue Bell Inn, the owner of which is a keen classic car enthusiast and owner. Amongst the many classics there, here are some that caught my eye. A goodly line up of Mk1 Escorts - should please Keith A Cooper T82 F2 car from 1966 - not something normally seen at classic car events. A remarkably original Triumph TR3 This Royal Mail van. The owner told me it took him three years to rebuild it from what he described as "a box of ferrous oxide on four wheels". There were several Jeeps. The one in the foreground took part in Operation Husky, the Allied invasion of Sicily in 1943. Ferrari SF90 Bomber County Minis And finally, spotted across the road from the pub; A split rear window VW Beetle! Shame it wasn't pushed across the road to the show. Thanks for looking. Trevor 13 3
Pete in Lincs Posted June 15 Posted June 15 So the pub would have been the Bluebell. It dates back to fifteen something or other. That Beetle has been at that house for years . I went to the Hemswell meet and there was only one Mini! 1

SnøMotion Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Saw a few cool things today, but this was the only one I got a poor photo of. On the M56 heading towards Manchester. 8 2

Farmer matt Posted June 15 Author Posted June 15 (edited) 'Tis a 55 Beauville methinks. 'Tis very nice too. Matt See @Six97s post below Edited June 15 by Farmer matt Correction 2
Pete in Lincs Posted June 15 Posted June 15 On the second Saturday of the Month there is a classic car meet on the old parade ground at the former RAF Hemswell. On the A631 twelve miles North of Lincoln. I went armed with the camera yesterday and found quite a few to lust over. Lots of pictures, if it's too many please let me know, Mods. XR2 on pepperpot wheels. The driver is only the fourth owner. And it's original paint. It said Ginetta in big letters on the bonnet. Chevy stepside. I think it's a '55 And the Ford equivalent but a bit older. '52 perhaps? I saw this one last month. It's an Austin with Sierra or Mondeo running gear. And macabre accessories. A Mercury I think. This one was parked up along with others (mostly MGB's) from a Lincoln car club. Wolseley Hornet. Cosmics, roll cage flat paint and rough bodywork in places. The Vauxhall Monaro, along with an Anglia Estate. A Skyline R something The model T was a surprise. Triumph Acclaim next to it A tough looking Dodge. Early sixties? TR4A and a Rover 75 Toyota Soarer. The rear bumper a little rippled, but 160,000 on the clock. The engine on tickover was almost inaudible. And that's your lot. Though there were others too. I hope you saw something you like. We'll see what turns up next month. 12 1
