BushBrit66 Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Any details out there of the flexible Lewis gun mount and position out there? Cheers Sean
bjohns5 Posted June 12 Posted June 12 (edited) I can't find any helpful photos of the mount, but here is the technical description from the 1937 Air Publication 1524A on the Wellesley I. From the description it sounds somewhat similar to the Fairey High Speed mount used in the Fairey Battle. Edited June 12 by bjohns5 1

It seems the Lewis was used in the middle and far east until 40/41. I have only seen Lewis guns on Wellesleys. Quite distinctive. They were used on some Lysanders and Blenheims until at least 38.
