kajustas Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Another model I finished is T-34B MENTOR N34FU from the ACADEMY kit in 1:48 scale The model was made “straight out of the box” for that in an unusual civilian paint scheme referring to the “legendary” VFA-103 Jolly Rogers. The original aircraft from the family of BUK45/T-34 Mentor airframes was built in 1956, the last military serial number is 140846USN, construction number - BG-180; entered in the civil register under the number N34FU belonging to George E. Watson, Temecula, California . The model was made from photos available on the web - during the 2021 WINGS OVER CAMARILLO air show. While working on the model, I decided to embed it on the tarmac of the Camarillo airport - add visitors and models during a Pin-Up style photo shoot (I used 3d print elements for this purpose) All painted with Bilmodel and Vallejo paints. I invite you to watch and rate the model ... I hope you will like it ... 11 2

Lightningboy2000 Posted June 10 Posted June 10 This is such a brilliant idea! Superb work, & excellent to obtain situational figures like that. 1
RossFMJ Posted June 11 Posted June 11 That's a great diorama there well thought out and presented, the atmosphere and "story" of what's going on are great, it really reminds me of similar real events. 1 1
