@marvinneko has a current work in progress where he has been building a ship model of the Japanese research vessel Soya using card

I created this topic as a place to put links for those who might be interested in finding out more rather than clutter up David's topic and to have those links get lost in the clutter.

First a FAQ. This is old and has been around for a long time:  https://www.cardfaq.org/faq/freeb.html  expect to find dead links within.

Online forums; there are many. Card modeling is more popular in Europe than in North America. Most online forums you might stumble across will more that likely be other than English language based. These two forums are just a very small sampling:

Free downloads of various model types from simple building to very complex ships, aeroplanes, and other assorted vehicles: ( not all inclusive, use of Google will find others )

And of course there are still the more traditional card model producers which publish their models on card and sell as kits. There are many
