We're stopping near Châteaulin to the north of Quimper in Brittany, France mid-July and are putting together a list of places to go. Any recommendations for places to go, museums, model shops (unlikely I know!) etc.

Quimper, Vannes, Nantes, Dinan, Saint-Malo and Mont Saint-Michel are on the list as well as the Lockheed Constellations at Nantes & Discothèque Le Moulin, so anything around those areas would be good to know about. We're taking the bikes so are there are any good routes to use?

Cheers

Steve

There's a load of things to see and places to go, so if you can be more specific...

Yet the only recommendation I could think about right now is:

Avoid the Mont St. Michel at all cost, as there's no better tourist trap...

But if you reallly want to go there, at least take your own meal with you.

... even in you don't go onto the MsM the drive from Cancale around the coast is very nice. Lunch in Cancale if you like seafood... nice sandy beach/bay too if you've got good weather...

Apart from the larger places I listed, what smaller places are worth visiting, especially if they are fairly close together and we can use the bikes to go from one to another. Good places to eat, good sunset locations etc.

That's the sort of info I'm after.

Thanks
