Toe Posted June 8 Posted June 8 @bentwaters81tfw The Ipswich Transport Museum on a flyer says Rushmere Road and June the 21st? Is there 2 shows? Is the entrance to the show off Lindbergh Road?

Is the entrance to the show off Lindbergh Road? Yes, Lindberg road, Nacton Road end. For some inexplicable reason the Transport Museum decided to do the following weekend. On the 21st we are doing a 'this is us' drop-in at Rushmere Road just to bolster their event. There will be club members on hand building, demonstrating techniques and answering questions. I understand for 2026 we will be working with the T.M. and everyone else as usual. 1
Robert Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Is there any chance of a better floor plan than the one on FB, red is not very easy on the eyes ? I do not have a FB account so was unable to reply to it. Regards Robert
bentwaters81tfw Posted June 11 Author Posted June 11 Nothing to do with me, and I don't do Facebook either. I will be there under my IPMS Bentwaters hat, so I'm just a visitor technically, even though I'm a member of both.
Mike Posted June 11 Posted June 11 It's probably one of the few opportunities you'll get to see a live @Julien in the wild this year. If you see someone that looks like a pink Shrek (minus the ears) mated with a homunculus, that's just received really bad news, you might want to go and say hello! 1

Yes that is strange as every weekend this has taken place I've been working the Saturday (work every other) and next week I have it off - but whilst I don't finish late on a Saturday it's a very early start and I'm knackered by the time mid afternoon arrives but I'll still have a look straight after finishing

bentwaters81tfw Posted June 14 Author Posted June 14 good show, it's a nice venue. Shame the mobile bar pulled out at short notice. I managed to not spend any money 1
Paul821 Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I was planning on attending this but the road I usually take to Ipswich was closed so I decided to spend my money elsewhere. I'm also going to miss the West Anglia show https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/status-and-disruptions/ Next week as I have railway voluneer duties next Sunday. Hope those who attended/ are going enjoy the shows.
Robert Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Thank you for an enjoyable show today and bought a few supplies. Hope to do it again next year. Robert 1
bentwaters81tfw Posted June 14 Author Posted June 14 Thanks, good to see all the supporting clubs. Ipswich pushed the boat out for their 20th anniversary. I know next year it will be in line with the Transport Museum and model engineers and railways again. If the new venue proved viable, a revised floorplan can accommodate more tables. I'm retired from committee so I'll have to wait for the after show report.
Martian Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Just got back from taking the Zeppelin display to this one. Many thanks to the organisers. It was very well run and well worth the long round trip from Poole. Exhausted of Mars 👽
bentwaters81tfw Posted June 15 Author Posted June 15 Good to see you there young Martian. Almost didn't recognise you without your tentacles. That is a superb display of Zeppleins you have. 1
