I know there are 2+documented schemes for the Jag; the TELIC acrylic light gray and the final two- tone as depicted in one of Airfix’s in the new kit. What is your opinion of this one? Dark Sea Gray maybe?

BS 638 Dark Sea Gray over BS 629 Dark Camouflage Gray is what you are looking for. Also used on Tornados and Harriers in that time frame before switching to overall Medium Sea Gray, though I believe the Jag was retired before (or shortly thereafter).

AK Real Colors do pretty good versions of both, and Gunze does a good DSG as well. If you can't find DCG (it's not that common) you can do no wrong with US Dark Gull Gray which is very close (FS 36231). From my experience DSG tends to look much lighter in practice than the chips and the paints tend to match the chips so up to you if you want to lighten it up a bit.

BS 381C No.639 Dark Camouflage Grey was the name and number given to FS 36173 when it was adopted for use on RAF Offensive Support aircraft from 1993.
