Hello all,

Happy Easter :-)

This one of those kits you just have to love building as it's such a joy without any issues and the engineering makes everything easy.

Just take the ability to screw the undercarriage in and the cover to fit perfectly (with magnets)...brilliant work by Tamiya.
Special motion to Red Fox Studio as their instrument panel tops the kit off giving extra detail inside the cockpit.
'Diablo' decals were Kits-World and were nice and thin, all the other insignia were from my own DM-Scale Models P-51D Mask set.
All comments welcome.

Superb, any chance of a cockpit shot?

Yes, here's a couple pre-assembly and post assembly of the two halves

I had forgotten how good the engineering is on this kit. There is no hint the engine panels come off! Great build.

Really impressive especially the way it can posed flying or parked. Great details and painting as well.

That really looks superb, really well done. I didn't know it had retractable gear, or is that your own modification?

Thanks Alan, the kit comes with a blank double door piece which is screwed into place where the u/c legs are, its a great idea. The rear tail u/c section has an extra structure which relaces the wheel bay and held in place with magnets...as i said, this is easily one of the best kits on the market.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments on this build
