Paul J Posted April 19 Posted April 19 These two have been on and off my bench for a while. As for the Devon, it was a quick build all the way through while I had a very brief mojo return. Both models are by Welsh Models . The Andover is a vac fuselage with resin flying surfacs , decals from my decal bank. No serials due to not having the time yet. The Devon is entirely resin and decals from the kit. It needs nose weight and i drilled a hole as re instructions ad crammed in some lead pieces but still not enough! The lit supplied decals for the rounfels are odd. the small set only included a couple pairs so I found suitable ones from my decal spares. There was only one underwing serial set but for two serials, VP971 and 981 So for one of the underwing sets I used both the supplied ones, painted out the middle digit(7 in this case) and applied one of the spare '8' over the top. Job done! And yes, I do know the roundel on the port wing is out of place because it moved before settling. Again, Ill live with it. The props I made from the metal parts from the kit but all the blades were broken so I used blades from spares. gluing plastic to metal was a bit stressful ,They look crap but i can live with them, 28
TheyJammedKenny! Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Great job on these two generations of RAF VVIP transport aircraft! I love the paint schemes you used, and of course I'm partial to the -748/Andover C2. Well done.
