On Tamiya's blog https://tamiyablog.com/2025/04/first-information-on-the-63rd-shizuoka-hobby-show-2025/

This bit is interesting,

'This time, there will be a lot of noteworthy new products in each genre! Not only will you be able to take a good look at the new products before they are released at the venue,'

'New Product Announcement List is in preparation and will be posted when published in a new article'

Regards

I'm thinking a 1/72 F35C as the A&B have already been done and variant of their F-4B release possibly an N.

Gotta bear in mind that for Tamiya, when they say "each genre", they don't mean 1/700 ships, 1/24 model cars, 1/72 aircraft and 1/35 armour, for example. They mean plastic kits, R/C cars, educational toys, R/C Tanks, mini Racing cars, craft kits and tools...

best,

M.

Am encouraged by the announcement of an announcement. I can therefore begin dreaming just to have my desires shattered by reality in a few weeks' time. And no, my wishlist is none of your business — so there!

Rereleasing their 72nd Mosquito NF XIII would be good.  Damn near impossible to find now.

And they unexpectedly deleted the Thunderjet meaning the iconic fighter is not present in 1/72 now. However should these return, we should have seen them in 2025 catalogue I believe. For Shizuoka I would expect announcements of totally new products.

The event is from May 14- May 18th in case anyone wonders when to check the actual news from :)

If Tamiya releases a new 1/20 F1 car, I will be requiring an ambulance. (but there are absolutely no chances of that happening)

I predict a new line of pump-up aerosol paints and spray-on masking fluid which you can cut with a scalpel.

Seriously, there are quite a few discontinued kits that could be resurrected with modest make-overs, the way Tamiya did with the 1:32 "Bunker Busting" F-15E. Not part of any wishlist, yet I'd love to see a "Traditional F-4EJ" and grey plastic "Early F-16C" emerge from apparently discontinued kits — but such isn't what Shizuoka is all about.

Three posts removed for wishlisting.

You're gonna be very busy :owww:

I've noticed a few posts by Tamiya JP on Insta.  Perhaps some clues there?

In defence of Greg's sanity (or what's left of it) , please don't wishlist.  Particularly stuff that Tamiya are just NEVER gonna do.

I spoke with a Tamiya rep at the IPMS US National last summer and he didn't think we will see much in F1 cars any time soon (new or re-pops).  He thought the license fees required for the decals were prohibitively expensive.

Thanks. I had not hoped for any models (for the same reasons your rep mentioned) but it's sad to hear those fears confirmed.

The 1/48 Skyray fetches silly money IF you can find one. A rerelease would be very welcome.

Looks like the 1:72 F-35C is already on Scalemates complete with boxart. Someone beat Homebee to it.

The 1/72 Bf109G-6 is very obviously designed with some other G-6/14 sub-variants in mind. Erla canopy, tall fin, etc all yet to be added. Perhaps we will see this now that it's been a few years since the initial release.

Adam i have been thinking the same thing about the 48th kit .And now i can say thank god they have got those F35's out of their system and we will be free to get something else .
