Hi. Not my usual build o subject matter, but I have not long built this kit for my 52 year old stepson who is into this sort of thing. But, I quite liked Thunderbirds on TV so I enjoyed this challenge. Hope you Sci-Fi guys like it. Its not my best effort seeing as I am in semi retirement from modelling.

ITs the AIR kit from Bachmann.

TB 4 coming down the ramp.  It amazes me that those four telescopic legs don't seem to have room to retract to !! Where and how????? Also how does the massive pod manage to float wheh dropped or lowered in to the sea remain afloat??? And how could a monster like TB 2 achieve 6000 mph with that enormous bulky shape???  Answers on a post card to.......

Great build! Realistic sheen to the paint and the colour looks great! I think you'll have to suspend your disbelief when it comes to the mechanics of the Thunderbirds and just step into a child's mind and go "wow!" I still enjoy watching it and captain scarlet every now and again 😁

A childs mind, Im 60 and still watch all Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlett and UFO, Space 1999 etc, other than modelling its all that keeps me sane. Great looking model and paint colour looks good.

So many memories ! It was instant love for me( I was 9 or 10 ) when I first saw that green whale projecting so much power and presence 😍.

You've done it justice👍👏

For our generation (I think we're referred to as 'Gen 'X' these days which probably doubles up for grumpy old gits) I think there is probably a lot of space in anyone's heart for Thunderbird 2 no matter the scale or manufacturer. She just ticks every box

Very nice indeed - lucky stepson too!

I was so fortunate at the age of 6, a school friends father was a model maker in Slough for Thunderbirds - we got an after school look around the workshop - a totally mind blasting experience
