Micha_Pol Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Built and painted the pre-Dreadnought HMS Lord Nelson. Overall a great model, sure some things needed tweaking but overall what is in the box is a good basis for creating a memorable model. For those who followed me in the "work in progress" section: thank you for your support. Powerful-looking, isn´t she... 42 4

Thanks a lot. Which ship t will you be building? Must be one of the Danton class. I have a half--completed Condorcet here, waiting to be finished. Best of luck with the build.

robgizlu Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Micha - that is excellent - very crisp detail and I particularly like the hull tones and the rigging Rob 1 1
AdrianMF Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Gosh - if I were asked for a visual definition of steam punk, I'd show them this. It seems like the guns and lifeboats are jostling each other for a bit of space! Immaculate build, wonderful paintwork and full of character. Love it. Regards, Adrian 1 1
RossFMJ Posted April 8 Posted April 8 All I can do is agree with everyone else. A beautiful build, showing off a really purposeful ship 1
Zoran Srb Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Very, very well done!! I see that you started ageing/weathering them. It gives them some life, good on you, congrats!! Hope to see next one soon, cheers! 1
R T Fishall Posted April 8 Posted April 8 There's something about the stout appearance of the pre-dreadnoughts that makes them look like real bruisers, love it! Some really nice work there; weathering looks particularly effective, great stuff. Cheers, Richard. 1

Esp. pre-1900 ships are often very, very clean, nearly spotless in their white and yellow "victorian" paintowork. . 1
