Beggsy Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Having finally found a.copy if the Italeri kit, obtained decals to replace the dodgy RAAF roundels in the kit, ordered some resin parts, and then ordered them again after the wrong items were shipped.... ...I am honoured to be the sacrifice to the modelling gods this time around. 1 6
Admiral Puff Posted April 2 Posted April 2 A noble sacrifice, my son! That will ensure that the LF kit will have everything you need to build a Ronny one straight from the box!

Along with the upcoming Litaki MB 339, it's looking like it should be a great year for Italian jet trainers in ANZAC service. 2

This is the MB326K in its single-seat version, built straight from our test sprues. Precise fit, crisp surface detail, and a sleek silhouette that captures the essence of the original. The built model shown here includes several 3D-printed parts that will not be part of the standard kit. These optional extras will be available separately for even more realism. We’re putting the final touches on the release – it’s almost ready for takeoff! Keep watching our e-shop and Facebook page so you don’t miss the launch – this kit is one to look forward to! V.P. Dennis_C Posted April 16 Posted April 16 (edited) Looks not bad at all. Are modern kits of MB.326 and MB.339 (from Litaki) becoming a reality this year? Seems single seat Impala becomes first hopefully followed by a trainer. Edited April 16 by Dennis_C

JWM Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Very nice kit, unfortunately beyond my time frames... More general remark - Looking at current releases by LF I lost hope for further variants of Fokker CV family, what was years ago said, as kind of a promises. It was said "the only question of time" . In particular I lost hope for WM -21 Solyom... It is a pity for me... I hope the owner reads the BM announcements on his releases... Regards J-W
Dennis_C Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Looks like all the plastic for both trainer and attack versions in the same box. Now we should hope their inkjet printed decals are not totally horrible - squadron badges first and foremost.

You can find it on our website under code PE7279. And because we know you love to fine-tune your models down to the smallest detail, we're bringing back some classic 3D accessories – and adding a few brand-new ones, including a camouflage mask and canopy mask. Take a look and give your model that extra flair! V.P. 4
CharlieGolf2009 Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Oh, my poor wallet. It's official: I'm going bankrupt this year. 1
Giorgio N Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Has anyone seen the kit on sale outside of LF own web shop? I'd have no problem buying direct from them but their postage to my country is a bit steep...
LN-KEH Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Mr. Kit in Milan have them on their website: https://www.misterkit.com/shop/brand/16992632/lf-models?_=_

In my experience kits of smaller firms need some time to reach large retailers so let's wait a bit.

Unfortunately their listed price is IMHO a bit high, around 30% higher than the the price on the LF website... 8 hours ago, Dennis_C said: Big H added this kit to future releases. I was hoping to buy one soon to build it in a current GB, we'll see if this is possible
GiampieroSilvestri Posted May 13 Posted May 13 With all the accessories the kit costs almost 200€! Saluti Giampiero 3
Dennis_C Posted May 14 Posted May 14 (edited) With paint mask (canopy only!!!) sold at 11.55€.... is that more than a roll of Tamiya tape? For a trainer version I thought about getting 3D ejection seats only. But the same 11.55€ for one seat... I do not know. And I keep in mind that LF decals are the crappiest inkjet variety of anything that is there on the market meaning likely aftermarket decals are necessary too. Edited May 14 by Dennis_C 1
Pete57 Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Giogio N, Do you happen to know what color(s) were painted the cockpit and the landing gear components / bays of the SAAF MB-326K Impalas? Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. The cockpit was in medium grey for sure, same as the Italian ones. For the wheel wells I'm not sure unfortunately, I believe they may be in green (again same as the Italian ones). I've seen pictures of SAAF Impalas with green equipment bays and looked pretty much the same as that used in the wheel wells of the Italian aircraft, reason why I'm expecting their wheel wells to be green too.
Dennis_C Posted May 15 Posted May 15 56 minutes ago, Giorgio N said: I believe they may be in green (again same as the Italian ones) Hi Giorgio, am I right that while bay interiors were in dull green (FS34079-like), the interior sides of undercarriage doors as well as gear legs should be in aluminium paint?

Yes to the doors and legs in aluminium, for the green I'd choose something lighter 1
Dennis_C Posted May 31 Posted May 31 (edited) This kit arrived to big H (in 'new arrivals' now) but shows zero in stock and seems it was so popular that despite it was in my backorder I still do not get one Seems couple more months to wait until big H restocks it... Edited May 31 by Dennis_C
