Nicely done!!!
I’ve seen One Man Models’s offerings on the web, but never before one that had been built. Good to know the kits build nicely, I may well buy one now (OMM has some interesting subjects)

That's fabulous. I remember seeing these aircraft in Singapore and thought that they were a good looking plane. You've certainly done it justice.

Beautiful model- grew up with Andovers a constant fixture in the skies above my house. Even flew in one as an Air Scout, they opened the ramp as we transited over central Auckland. Always thought they looked so good with that white patch over the cockpit as per the RAF aircraft.

Wow!

You did an awesome job!
Degree of difficulty would be pretty high with this, yet your results speak for themselves.

Being an F-27 fan, I have a lot of associated interest in this one, and it’s great to see it done so well.

Very good!

Complete OMM models are not often seen, especially so nicely done

Outstanding!  The details are just right, including the slightly upturned wing-tips on this!  Well done after much elbow-grease.

Beautiful job! I have been umming and aahing about one of these for quite some time - your lovely job may just have tipped me over the edge to dive in and get one. Your comment about the decals has me wondering - how were the supplied decals quality wise?

What a beauty!

It's nice to see one of these built up, and to read your thoughts on doing it.  it looks perfect.

Cheers

One of our members brought the same kit in last month, and it does look nice, you can buy filler primer from Halfords, or another way of doing it is using Photopolymer resin that you would use in a 3D printer and basically paint it on and then use a UV lamp to cure it then sand it back, always best to wear surgical gloves using this stuff though

The first One Man Model I’ve seen built and I echo what everyone else has said, you knocked it out of the park, son!

Toshihiko uses filament printers for large parts, not resin.

Don't want to hijack a thread but I built L-17 a couple of years ago :)

Thanks for the all comments guys!! Mr One Man Models considers that decals are for wimps ! There are masks (and in fact stickers) provided for the roundels but that's it. I think there is now an Air Graphics Transport Command set that has decals for the Andover, as well as the Old Models set.

Truly living up to his company name 😁

That is a very fine looking build. The Andover C.1 was a very pretty aircraft and your model has captured the look perfectly.

Yes I know he uses a FDM printer, but you can use the liquid resin to paint over it as and cure it with a UV lamp

Seems like an overkill to me. Thick primer like Mr.Surfacer 500 or liquid putty like Mr.Dissolved Putty works just fine.
Of course, everyone has their own way, I would rather sniff cellulose thinner than resin :)

Wow, that's magnificent!

Interesting to compare to @TheyJammedKenny!'s build of the Mach 2 748.

I use automotive high-build spray putty on FDM printed parts.

Let it cure for a while and it doesn't shrink and reveal the print layers over time.

That looks very nice. I built the RugRat resin version from the 1990s and it is on here somewhere. Yours looks much better.

Nice!! I’ve wondered about getting one of these but didn’t know what to expect - looks like it can be built into a superb model!
