F-4C of the 111th FIS Texas ANG

Hi,

 

I'd love to complete this F-4C for this GB. I believe it's well below 25% completed: I have drilled the holes for the pylons in the lower wing, the pylon for the SUU-23 pod has been attached and I've glued the wingtanks together.

The SUU-23 and its pylon are from the Finemolds armament set.

The 111th FIS flew the F-4C from 1982 to 1986.

Great choice Stefan, this is turning into a bit of a Phantom Phest and that's no bad thing as far as I'm concerned. 

I really like some of the ANG markings of the time and the stylized Texas flag of the 111th is one of my favourites, in fact I have a 1/48 Monogram F-4C in the European One scheme from this unit that I need to finish at some point. 

Very interested to see this one completed.

Nice choice Stefan, I built a Fujimi F-4D (67467) in that scheme back in 2012.

I have been moving at a snail's pace on my modelling projects.😔

At least something is being done...I have filled in the panel lines for the refueling probe which was not on USAF Phantoms.

I've done the same thing on my RoKAF F-4D, so that is also a project that is ongoing.
