Aims Posted March 16 Posted March 16 (edited) Eduard 1/48 profi pack Bf 109 G-10 'Regensburg', White 43 of NJG 11, Fassberg, May 1945. When I chose to do this option I did not realise that Eduard had it in their Weekend edition boxing and I really wanted to use my own Aims decals anyway but in the process found that my number 43 was not accurate enough and so the decals came off and I made a quick mask. I should have waited and just purchased the weekend edition but I only realised the possibility after spraying the numbers on (badly). Note the replacement right radiator flap. I did mine in RLM 74/76. Note also the half moon mirror, from its earlier day fighter days; I used mirrored card. Finally note the almost complete lack of stencils apart from a few keys ones that were saved during the overhaul and repainting. The figure was part of an ICM set and was part of the ground crew but I have painted him as a pilot. Props are in good condition with only a little wear on the rear tip surfaces as per usual on 109's. There is paint damage in the fuselage cross lower area on both sides of the aircraft. MG 131's have been removed as per regs. The MG 151 is most likely also removed and I doubt the cover would have been put back neatly as on my model - I also doubt the seat belts were all nice and tucked in the pan - I had not thought through what I wanted to do! The Revi 16 can not be seen in the photos - it has most likely been removed but I instead placed it in the stowed position so it would not be seen as per the photos. I can not think of anything else you might like to know? Write it down if I have missed something. Thanks, John PS This is my 4th model this year. I am very inactive so I can get on with some modelling for myself. PS I also used my Aims Bf 109 data plate decals Edited March 16 by Aims text out of line 29 4 2
fubar57 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 (edited) Really really nice. I like the bent pitot tube as per photos. I just finished this myself but from the Weekend Edition Edited March 16 by fubar57 1
Winded Penguin Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Superb effort👍 The diorama is also spot on, from the famous photos on this aircraft. 1
