I will keep looking for interested members and hopefully we can qualify for the voting in November. Just a little secret I don't have any cars in my stash either. I’m looking at a 62-64 Impala( build it with a 409 to honor Brian Wilson). That or an early Pontiac, Mopar, or a Ford Mustang or Galaxy from the early years. 1

I know very little about muscle cars, but after watching Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul, know that I need to make something suitably obscure and outwardly mundane, i.e. not a Mustang! 1
paul-muc Posted June 14 Posted June 14 (edited) Though there are no Ferrari mentioned I think the 612 Scaglietti meets the criteria: 2 doors, 4 seats, V12 engine, 533 hp, rear-wheel drive, produced 2004-2011. If so, I will enter with the Revell kit. Edited June 22 by paul-muc typos 1

Pony cars are allowed, but the more obscure types may garner more attention from fellow modelers. 6 hours ago, vppelt68 said: But the Ferrari has good brakes and it corners well at great speeds... it may be eligible but it's not a Muscle Car True not by classic sense of definition. But then again a modern mustang does much the same vs an original 1965 mustang, yet both are allowed. I am planning on traditional (1954-74) vs (1975-2025) categories. 2
Stef N. Posted June 22 Posted June 22 Hello Dennis, please put my name down for this one too. I can think of a couple of cars for this and I'm getting inspiration from some of the other suggestions. 👍 1

Classic and more modern so you should be able to find something. I wish someone made a 1/24-1/25 Jensen Interceptor as I’d probably go for that myself. I just really like the look of the car. 1

That is definitely a big old muscle car. I've tried looking for a kit to build one for him but to no avail. A shame as that would be perfect. 👍👍 1
TonyW Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Add me to the list please. I love these things. Monogram will be my probable company of choice and something Mopar from their output will do for starters. Tony. 2

silverfox63 Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Hi Dennis. Let me throw this cat amongst the pigeons. 1971 Ford (Australia) Falcon XY Phase III GTHO, fastest FOUR door sedan, in the world! at time of production, (allegedly). Seriously UNDERrated hp of 300, closer to between 350-380. Fitted with 351 Cleveland, close ratio Toploader 4 speed and a Detroit Locker diff. Rev limited to 6150 rpm. With the limiter removed, was capable of revving PAST 7000 rpm, with a theoretical top speed of 157 mph. Built as a limited production (300) homologation special to run, and win, at the 1971 Bathurst 500 as it was then. Oh, and the HO tag? Laughingly called Handling Option, for insurance reasons. Cheers, Chris. P.S. Count me in, please. 2

As I was born that year, I had planned to build this model too, one day, but then I realized that by the time of my birth in very, very late August, all the American auto factories were already churning out the 1969 models 😁 2

My brother's 69 was in that exact color, it had the 440 ci with the hurst pistol transmission on the floor. I miss him and that car. Or would you attempt a mod or 3D print something ? Should I add you anyways or is it dependent on this car ? Edited July 5 by Corsairfoxfouruncle

silverfox63 Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Yes, there is a kit available, well 2 actually, in 1/24 and 1/25 scale, however the highly detailed 1/25 scale version sells for big money. The other I can afford, but no, my participation is not tied to this particular model. Cheers, Chris. 1

The 1971 Australian Ford Falcon. I have decided to put this up to the group to decide. Are four doors allowed ? Maybe not for American cars of that era ? Modern cars like the Dodge Charger has four doors and some of these are pushing upwards of 1000hp. So the question again is should certain 4 door sedans qualify ? If yes what are the base guidelines to determine that status ? H.p., top speed, special production lots ? Please talk it out and maybe we can decide if they do/don't. I will add your name to the main list Silverfox63. On 7/5/2025 at 3:55 AM, silverfox63 said: Hi Dennis.
