AMT & JoHan come to mind but a lot of those are also in Revell boxes now.

I think all of those are 1/25... certainly the ones I have are. @szeregowy were you specifically after 1/24 to fit in a "constant scale" collection, or are you prepared to consider 1/25 as well, if the original car is big enough?

best,

M.

All the other cars in my stash are 1/24, so I would prefer to stick to 1/24 if possible. Small pool I know, but I'll find something.

The ex-Monogram Mustangs in the Revell Germany boxes are nice kits and pretty easy to find…

best,

M.

Thanks. I'll begin my hunt for Revell muscle car.

Are you sure it isn't Keeley Hawes😉 which has flagged on @Rob Sutto's automated search!!

We've got 14 pages of chat so I hope that translates into voting power at the bunfight:please:

I've browsed through umpteen of eligible kits to buy for this GB - my current stash consists of airplane kits only - and I think the AMT 1968 Roadrunner ticks most boxes:

- it's the year of my birth

- it's a real muscle car (2d post body, minimal trim, maximum power)

- HEMI

- and last but not least, it's AVAILABLE!

The Monogram 1.24 kits are your best bet. All scrub up well straight out the box and there is a ton of extra detailing to be had if that floats your boat.

The '70 Mustang, 64 and 65 fastback Mustangs, including Shelby boxings, The '69 Dodge Super Bee, Challenger T/A, Buick GSX are all readily available. There's a Torino and a GTX out there as well as a Dodge Daytona and Plymouth Superbird.

The Revell issues need a bit of a study as some 1.25 cars creep in. All the new Revell Germany cars are 1.25 as are any original Revell kits. It's only the original Monogram kits that are 1.24. It can get confusing.

How different is that from an '86, as Dave Coley has those listed on ebay now?

I do like a Monte Carlo!

or the choo choo custom SS body ?

Kit says on the box it's a 2 in 1 SS, and the box art looks to me much like the lovely black car in your second link!

The 2 in 1 looks like it consists of 4 barrel or fuel injection and stock wheels or massive wires. I can’t see how the ‘yet to be released’ kit is going to be any different :nah:

The only consolation is that there are 10 spots this year.
