Spitfire madman Posted February 4 Posted February 4 (edited) Hi fellow modellers Here is Revell’s 1:48 Mosquito B MK.IV well the less said about this kit the better poor fitting parts and vague instructions and please don’t get me started on the undercarriage absolutely awful. this model nearly ended up in a bin on more than 1 occasion, anyway I’ve not let a kit beat me yet and I’m certainly not going to start now. hopefully I’ve done it some justice Finished as DZ415 of 627 Squadron RAF Woodfall Spa in early 1945 Tamiya paints used throughout thanks for looking and happy modelling Edited February 4 by Spitfire madman 36 1 1
georgeusa Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Well it looks like a Mosquito. You did a very good job with what you had to work with. The finished kit looks excellent. Build the Tamiya version and it will soothe your nerves from this kit. Thanks for sharing. 1
Longhorn Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Very nice looking Mosquito, looks like you managed to beat the kit into submission. 1
keith in the uk Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Looks very nice indeed , shame Revell got so many things wrong as you mention the undercarriage is too short and the wheels to big , the spinners are the wrong shape and the canopy is a little suspect , shame as the rest of the kit is not too bad. 1
Keeff Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Thank you for persevering with the build as you've treated us all to a superb example. Nicely finished and looking splendid! Keith ☺️ 1
Gimme Shelter Posted February 5 Posted February 5 very nice work there - glad it escaped the bin too 1
speedy Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Well it turned quite well and looks the part to me. I know you've completed the kitty hawk Jag, so you can build anything. 1
Collin Posted February 7 Posted February 7 You did this older (and tough) kit justice. Nice build. ' Cheers Collin 1
Max Headroom Posted February 7 Posted February 7 That looks very nice indeed. I feel your pain regarding accuracy as I have a (stalled) build of their 1/32 version. That is also……’challenging’. The Tamiya paints look nice on it, so must invest in their rattle cans come the day I do mine 😆 Trevor 1
