Airfix 1:72 Avro Vulcan

XM607 created from the original Airfix kit (I bought the kit and extra decals long before Airfix brought out their own Blackbuck version!)

 

 

 

 

 

Extra details in the bomb bay and crew access are loosely based on XJ823 at Duxford. 

 

 

 

 

The bombs hide most of the extra detail so may just leave them out.

Breath taking!  The bomb bay is master work!  I just tried my hand at scratch building a 1/72 Neptune landing gear bay (a combination of photos and ad lib) so I know the work involved.

 

Plus you re-scribed the beast!  First rate, lad.

 A brilliant result. Great bomb bay. Is that the issue with the very brittle plastic? It was a nightmare. I had to reinforce the wings with the empty sprues!

Excellent Vulcan! It reminds me of the noisy takeoffs at the Royal International Air Tattoo. The amount of noise was quite incredible, considering it came from four non-afterburning engines!
