CarlG Posted February 2 Posted February 2 The recent rerelease of an old 80's kit. It's billed as a snap together, but make your life easier and snip the (mis)alignment pins and glue it. Obviously it's no Bandai kit, but the price tag is reasonable and the detail is decent for a 40+ year old kit. Weathering is a mix of Tamiya black and brown panel liner, plus AK streaking dirt and dust pencils. I was going for a Tuskegee Airmen inspired color scheme, but I think I ended up at "hot dog stand" instead. 23
Yg Models Posted February 3 Posted February 3 (edited) nevermind, bandai already given up SW series. no more spacecraft / walking tank / robot from it. Edited February 3 by Yg Models
k7rkx Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I built the Airfix boxing of this when it was released as part of the ROTJ kits. It was in a four kit set with an A-Wing, X-Wing and Tie Interceptor. I think they were all different scales. Anyway, nice bit of nostalgia seeing this. 1
Uncle Monty Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I like the colour scheme (although I don't see any hotdogs) Nice build though and very nice weathering effects. I like the way you got the 'dirt' into the little cracks and crevices. 1
