Lightningboy2000 Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Here's my second completed model off the production line for 2025. Lockheed T-33A 53-5137 81st TFW Bentwaters Italeri/originally Platz kit. 1/72 Used the Eduard PE cockpit & decals from Printscale. Paints; Alclad Aluminium & various acrylics. The only thing & scratched was the canopy strut. Many thanks for looking & apologies for the barely existent build thread! That's one thing I've never been that good at! Martin 45 1 3

corsaircorp Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Super shiny and colourful, Martin ! Congrats Sir !! Sincerely. CC 1
cpoud117 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 That's a lovely T-33! Opening the canopy is definitely the right call, I wish I had done this on mine. You've also done a great job mating the intake with the fuselage. It's easier said than done. Two small points of constructive criticism from a fellow T-33 builder / enjoyer, if I may. OOB, the exhaust sticks out a bit too much and should be shorten The mid cockpit "arc" is too thick for the scale. Cutting it off and replacing it with a metal or styrene strip solves the issue. 1
Vultures1 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Lovely work! That's a great metal finish, well done 👍 1
MikeC Posted January 27 Posted January 27 (edited) That's lovely, and nice to see the Twin Bases represented. 13 hours ago, Lightningboy2000 said: ... apologies for the barely existent build thread! No apology necessary - unless I missed something in the site rules, it's not compulsory. I rarely do any WIPs or even RFIs, whether on this site or elsewhere. Would rather get on with the modelling itself. (Edit): It goes without saying that I appreciate those who do make the effort, the foregoing is not intended to belittle you fine folk. bentwaters81tfw Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Smart job there Martin. What on earth inspired you to choose that? 1
Sky Keg Posted January 27 Posted January 27 A pleasing subject to gaze upon. The natural metal / silver finish turned out great!!! Mike 1

If you want a laugh, look up a current sized human getting in and out of a Stuart tank. We won’t even mention ball turrets.😆 1

Need more kits like that, in fact I've also got the Tanmodel boxing which I'm keen on doing but I've got way too many choices of schemes to do it in!

Glad there's someone else like me then! I mostly forget there's a camera on the mobile phone as I'm engrossed in my modelling... 1

Thank you, as it was a breeze to build, I wasn't that focused on the small details. I have got another one to do, at a later date. 1
