That is a war weary Oscar you have there.  And you did a phenomenal job it getting this made as the kit just recently came out I thought?  Didn't Mike just review this kit?  Thanks for sharing it and showing how well of a finished model you can get from this kit.

I wanted to explore my own idea of using the airbrush stencil (https://rescuemodels.com/product/airbrush-stencil-random-pattern/) - and needed an excuse to stop working on the P-47M.  :D In the meantime I have received from Japan Ki-43-I (that kit was created by Finemolds and added to Model Graphix magazine). Now I'm looking for figure to add (sides of the cockpit are without details) and still I'm trying to find impressive painting (without positive result).

Could you please state what colors did you use for Aluminum undercoat and Green camo splotches?

Thank you!

Green camo - AK RC 331

Aluminium - Mr.Super Metallic 201 (I really love that paint. I use it very thinned and it dries fast like common lacquers)

Yeah, that's great stuff. Your model is fantastic - how did you achieve the paint chipping/peeling/not sticking effect? Hairspray? Template? It looks great, especially in this scale.

Cheers,

Bill

I used those stencils and airbrush: https://rescuemodels.com/product/airbrush-stencil-random-pattern/ That set include three sheets of different patterns. I chose one pattern and applied it randomly several times to the same area until I was satisfied with the result.
