I was reading this thread https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235149433-172-various-aircraft-types-clear-out/ when this page came out of nowhere uncommanded

I've copied the address https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/?app=core&module=system&controller=ajax&do=instantNotifications&csrfKey=c7952cb7852f550669799fb04ab68b51&notifications=0&messages=0

and taken screenshots of the other available bits on the page

It happened about 20 minutes before this one and also as I was typing this line at 18:22.

No idea, probably just a glitch in the server as its calling forward and sending data. Nothing in the logs.

Further to the above it hasn't happened again but I have revisited the link.It seems to have something to do with Notifications.A Like showed up the usual green circle

and the mystery page has altered to the following

Now we know what it relates to for what it's worth.

Switch off developer tools :) and you won't see the 'mystery page' again.

Something got whacked recently as I've been various manner of server-side silliness yesterday and today, too.

I've had a few instances like the below, which had been on a tab opened to unread topics.

There haven't been any SW updates on my side, which suggests a server-side issue.

Edited to more accurately reflect the issue.

Welp.

I spotted one too, and no, contrary to what I thought it's nothing to do with devtools.

Just leaving the page running seems to occasionally have the notification subroutines throw the results out within the browser window instead of in the appropriate notification block on the page.

{
    "notifications": {
        "count": "0",
        "data": []
    },
    "messages": {
        "count": "0",
        "data": []
    }
}

Could it be something with Cloudflare? I've seen the odd time-out lately between CF and BM too.

Could you add that to the Poll please?  Otherwise being noted over different threads won't give the issues enough credence needed for investigation.

I've been getting the following message over the last few days, seems to just appear after viewing a thread, refreshing the page does nothing and the back button doesn't work to go back to the thread.

pretty print!

Add these to the poll, so that the bigger picture can be obtained for Mike.

Without clicking or doing a mouse-over another element, right?
Same.

URL in the address bar is from the notification controller JS library so that makes sense.

It does, at least on Edge 132.0.2957.115 .

Just had the message appear while scrolling rhrough a thread rather than at the end as before - this time the back button did return me to where I had been in the thread.

Getting annoying now - message just appeared again when scrolling down through a thread and back button & refresh did nothing again!

And I just got similar to KeefR22's above at 20:07 this evening while trying to get my notifications on screen.

That's interesting Pete, it is only 8.50pm here [20:50], are you on a different time zone in Lincolnshire?

And this morning on my phone I've had to try three times to comment on a thread, had two 500 screens and been told I'm not allowed to leave a like on another thread. WTH?

Posted

Each time I open this thread, to check the latest comment or quote etc., I get this scan threat message.   I note that the original post might be around the time I first started having the loading issues. @Mike I am wondering if this might have been a contributory factor?

That's the URL for the image in the original post

It's not flagged by my work PC as a risk
