Udruga Werk Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Hello Here is photo of He-111E from BFS5 when it was based in Semlin- Belgrade ( Zemun- Beograd). It was also used in anti partisan actions in former Yugoslavia ( operations Schwarz and Weiss). I want to make scale model of this aircraft but I don not know markings and camo scheme. Was it pre war 4 tones or war 3 tones of camo paint. Thank you in advance. https://photos.app.goo.gl/4jGWEwRvc3mLHruQ6
Graham Boak Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Not much to go on, but the prewar machines tended to retain their old camouflage. The large dark patch behind the unit insignia is presumably a fresh dark background painting out whatever was there before. The nose is often dark on the early scheme, but it did allow for exchanges of colour within the same pattern, so I'd consider green rather than a very faded brown.
FinnAndersen Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Don't click on the link. My antivirus software detects a phisting problem. Edit: Others have not have issues, so perhaps my antivirus is paranoid. Sorry for making a fuss.

I took the risk on behalf of the site, and nothing came up for me on eSet other than a photo of a step-nosed He.111 with some crew stood in front. Also, the correct spelling is "Phishing". "Phisting" may well be something else, but I'm not about to google it in case it gets me on a list somewhere 7 1
Udruga Werk Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 This is regular google link for photos, nothing else.
Mike Starmer Posted January 10 Posted January 10 The high demarcation line between upper and lower surfaces indicates the pre-war tri-coloured scheme. However there are 4 to 6 possible pattern layouts. The dark area could be the RLM81 brown for pattern B , the reverse of A. To paint the scheme on a model you are going the need the correct diagram of the segments layout as these were quite precise. Google may or likely not help. 1
Udruga Werk Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 Thank you gentlemen, I really appreciate your opinion and help. So this could be camo scheme? https://servimg.com/view/20598354/2 https://servimg.com/view/20598354/3
Udruga Werk Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 Now I have to find letter codes of those planes from BFS5. It will be no easy job to find.
