edjbartos Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Hi there, Its been a while since I posted anything on this site. I've joined a modelling club earlier last year, they are part of IPMS and I've been busy doing stuff with them. Throughout the year they do different challenges, In November we had to do a Beermat challenge, which was to do a diorama no bigger than the size of a beermat and no taller than 400mm I think. So I started to look at my cupboard to see If I could find something. I found an old Tamiya Panzer IV, most of the bits missing, just the turret and some wheels present so I did a bit of surgery and decided to make a little scene. Here are a few pictures, hope you like it... all the best Ed 36 7 1
Stef N. Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Great to see you about Ed and what a great little dio. A brilliant idea well executed. 👌👍 1
Keeff Posted January 7 Posted January 7 That is superb @edjbartos! Nicely detailed and despite being small, takes a while to absorb all that's there .... Keith ☺️ 1

SimonL Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Welcome back Ed. That’s fantastic - what a great idea, and beautifully finished. Those dry leaves 🍁 add that extra touch. 1

Many thanks to all of you, all your kind comments are very much appreciated. It's good sometimes to do something totally different and having a size constraint focuses the mind a bit. Good job that I had kept some old models to this, I have to say I really enjoyed doing this, it's just different to what I would normally do. Glad you all liked it... all the best Ed 2

Missed you out there on the last reply Simon, thanks so much for your comments, I enjoyed putting the leaves on as they gave the scene a little colour and tied in well with the rust effects on the turret... FrancisGL Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Hi Ed, Good that you are back, good modeling to see. A little gem, it shows how much can be done with little, if you have skill and imagination. Cheers Francis 👍 1
