robw_uk Posted January 5 Posted January 5 First build of 2025 started. This one is the Trumpeter 1/35 Dicker Max. Build will be out of the box with this one (paint scheme may be what if).... Box and sprues And of course all tanks have lots of wheels 9
Hamden Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Looks interesting Rob I'll take a seat and follow along Roger 1 1
Stef N. Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I enjoyed doing their Sturer years ago and I hope this is as good a kit. Good luck in your project.👍👍 2
Mig Eater Posted January 6 Posted January 6 The Dicker Max was the first 1/35 kit that I built, 10 years later and I still haven't painted it yet (see my KUTA thread) 😅 The fighting compartment is nicely detailed, it even comes with detailed drivers compartment that will never be seen once the upper hull is glued on unless you open up the hatches for the gearbox on the front plate. 1
robw_uk Posted January 6 Author Posted January 6 Thanks all... I will build the drivers compartment then consider leaving the transmission (?) hatch off... I may get a rail flatbed wagon to pose it on... Will see 3
robw_uk Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 Suspension and wheels done, fighting compartment started, gear box started... Need to raid miniart instructions for colour call out for the interior... 7
robw_uk Posted January 18 Author Posted January 18 Not much if anything of this will be seen but enjoying the interior... 12 1
robw_uk Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 Fighting compartment progression. Need to add some of the small PE then it's paint time 11
Hamden Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Coming together very nicely Rob, looking forward to the next update now Roger 1
FrancisGL Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Hi Rob, Very good start and progress with the model, I am pleasantly surprised to see the amount of detail included in the kit, I had not imagined it, although from what I read, very little will be seen in the end, a shame ... Cheers Francis 👍 1

Cheers Francis 👍 Thanks both, and yes Francis all that lovely detail hardly visible (can leave the transmission cover open and one hatch). I like to use these to practice my interior and weathering .. Edited February 23 by robw_uk 2
robw_uk Posted March 4 Author Posted March 4 Hope you get the interior primed this weekend... But update, plunged and ordered my first ever friul tracks... Also decided some blackening fluid might be interesting.... Couldn't be bothered to cut and clean 170+ tracks (of course there is a chance I have ordered the wrong pz IV tracks but think they are correct)
vaoinas Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Nice start of an interesting vehicle. The tracks seem to be a correct type to me. 1

robw_uk Posted April 18 Author Posted April 18 Finally freed up some paint time. Interior painted red and grey. Need to do the driver compartment side walls cremeweiss (of course none of that will be visible) [/url 7 1
Keeff Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I've just had a catch up with this one .... didn't realise you'd had it on the go so long! Nicely detailed kit, and a good job you're doing on the innards.... as mentioned previously, such a shame it'll be hidden! I don't blame you buying Fruil tracks .... I mean, who'd want to clean 170+ links ..... Keith ☺️ 1 1

Market Garden Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Watching with interest. Built this a couple of years ago, before I started to take detailed build photos. Will drop some pictures of my completed build into the relevant section over the next day or so. Keep up the good work!! 1
robw_uk Posted April 20 Author Posted April 20 Cremeweiss done.... Need.to.add the few interior parts then I can do a touch of weathering. None of this is seen but it is practice... 4 1
Kingsman Posted April 21 Posted April 21 I remain surprised that there was no series production of Dicker Max. It was what Ferdinand tried to be - it was originally classed as a StuG - but with a much better weapon for the assault gun role. And capable of killing anything on tracks at the time at decent range. 2
robw_uk Posted April 21 Author Posted April 21 Radio places in form photos but interior fixtures in. Next up some light weathering 6
