Tiger331 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Since I now understand that I will be stoned, boiled in oil, hung, drawn and quartered etc for posting anything like this in the 'Rumourmonger' section, I thought I would try my hand here. This is NOT, necessarily, my wish list per se although among the list are a number of kits I would really like to see. It is merely my ramblings about what I personally suspect Airfix may come up with this year. I, for one, do not imagine for one minute that they will produce everything but it would be nice to see some of these materialise in order for me to be satisfied that my crystal ball is still (partially) working. So, without further ado, my Airfix predictions for 2025: 1:72 Hawker Sea Fury FB.II (new mould) Gloster Javelin FAW.9 (new mould) Boeing CH-47F 'long nose' Chinook (re-issue with new parts) Consolidated B-24J Liberator (re-issue with new parts) SEPECAT Jaguar GR.1/3 (new mould) (would prefer 1:48 scale but 1:72 more realistic possibility) BN Islander (Vintage Classic) SA.330 Puma (Vintahe Classic or new mould (hopefully the latter) Macchi MC.202/205 (wildcard) 1:48 Hawker Hart/Fury McDD F-4K Phantom FG.1 (probably start with FG.1 to complete Ark Royal Carrier Air Wing) Bristol Blenheim Mk.IV (re-issue with new parts) BAC Jet Provost T5/Strikemaster (or T.3/4) Fairey Gannet AEW.3 (re-issue with new parts) Westland Sea King 'HAS.2/5/6 Export variants' (probably deferred to 2026) 1:24 BAe Sea Harrier FRS.1 (re-issue with new decals) Cheers
Circloy Posted January 4 Posted January 4 @Tiger331 Think we know whaat Airfix did in 2015 - don't think any of those were included.

SEPECAT Jaguar is more likely in 1/48, though my preference is for 1/72--quite the opposite. I would add the Shorts Skyvan and Piper Cherokee to the bevy of Vintage Classic releases in the coming year. In 1/48, I'd say we're likely to see Phantom in 1/48, as it fills a previously unfilled niche. Though they have done their best to build excitement, I'd say Airfix are looking conservatively at the market and will seek to repackage many of their recent 1/48 releases. Thanks for starting this thread!
