ModelingEdmontonian Posted January 3 Posted January 3 This is a really cool GB idea! Back as a kid in the '90s I had a go at the Airfix DH 88 Comet (in red, that time) and much later randomly in 2016 I tried again (the only kit I completed in that decade, as I really wasn't into the hobby at that point, only got back into it in 2020 when COVID hit)... I don't have any photos from the 1990s version, but here is the one I built 9 years ago. The green paint brush work isn't awful, actually, and the decals looks surprisingly good, but I don't think I painted the props and clearly did not attempt to paint the canopy and perhaps had not yet heard of sanding! Now I want to have another go, but this time I'll use the Clear Prop kit. I actually ordered both of the Clear Prop kits... Plus this decal sheet, too, so I have some version options... Here is the sprue photo from Scalemates... 22

Glad to see there's a more modern one and I will probably wind up buying it once I see how yours comes out! 1 1
CliffB Posted January 17 Posted January 17 This is definitely an aircraft that's deserved a nice kit 1
ModelingEdmontonian Posted yesterday at 03:26 AM Author Posted yesterday at 03:26 AM thanks @flyboy2610@Courageous@bianfuxia@CliffB! Time to get started. After the sprues got a bath, a few pieces were removed and cleaned up, and I began brushing on a wood-like brown in the cockpit. 7
