Keeff Posted January 1 Posted January 1 (edited) So, here's the placeholder for my entry for this Groupbuild, which is definately non military and very peaceful: A double kit with a flimsy bit of plastic that counts as the 'diorama', which I might see about casting in plaster using the said 'diorama' as the mould. I'm not sure yet if I'll build just one or go for both as a side by side build, but this will depend on time available. Anyway, should be fun to build..... he says optimistically! 😬 Keith ☺️ Edited February 25 by Keeff 21 1
Six97s Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I've built one of these. Fiddly in places, but a nice kit. IIRC, the instructions had the part numbers for the LH and RH brake parts transposed. If you dry fit them first, it should be obvious which is which. 1 1

psdavidson Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Having just bought this same kit, I'll watch with interest (Now I need to think of something else to build)

rob Lyttle Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Well, I've driven a good few T20s over the years, but I've never seen one with this exhaust pipe arrangements. Always with an upright pipe and an air intake upright too. I wonder what the story is? Maybe it's an export type, so T E 20. Anyway I'll look forward to seeing this. Gotta love a Heller kit 😍

Gotta love a Heller kit 😍 The kit comes with two options. Can't speak for this one, but I'm going with the vertical pipe

Gotta love a Heller kit 😍 For orchard or vineyard use, I think. Standard (no pun intended) agricultural exhaust was vertical. 2

Keith ☺️ So, curiosity got the better of me (and provided the ideal opportunity for some browsing for my build) about the FF-30. Turns out it was the Ferguson that was built in Saint-Denis, France from 1957 to 1958. It used a French injector pump on the diesel engines, had a sprung padded seat and used a different style of headlight. Get me ..... I'm becoming a tractor expert! 😲 Keith ☺️ 5
Keeff Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 (edited) Well, here goes .... I've had a few hours (and more than usual!) to furrow about in the yellow box, and made a start. Before you know it, I'd ploughed through a few steps of the instructions and ended up with this: The parts are nice a crisp with hardly any flash to clean up. Inadvertently, I used quick drying TET, hence the primed version A bit of detail to be added .... drilled the holes in the distributor for plug leads .... And some closer examination of parts revealed this horror: Hopefully, the rest of the build won't be too harrowing, but I have to admit, I'm really enjoying this! As usual, comments welcome, and thanks for looking in! Keith ☺️ Edited January 12 by Keeff 14 1
The Spadgent Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Looking really nice already. Is that a wheel arch with all the pin marks? I’d be tempted to cover that with some super thin plasticard. I hate Sandi g stuff like that. Good luck chap. Johnny 1

I dealt with the outer marks but left the inner ones be. Not visible at all with some mud and not to mention the big tractor wheels and tyres. 3
