When I first moved here I was like WHAT ON GODS GREEN EARTH IS THAT but now I sleep right through it!

The engine block is pretty large - the helmet that came with the Honda Dax gives an idea of scale. It still needs some detail painting, a couple of decals and a little weathering.

About time I got back to this!

I got the engine finished and added a bit of black panel liner to bring out the detail - motorbike engines don't usually stay clean, after all. The rear damper was also added to the back of it. I assembled the chain and painted it, again adding some panel liner to get it looking oily, and also got the frame and swing arm together.

The engine then got screwed into the frame and the chain fitted into the swing arm.

Hopefully more tomorrow.

Some more work done - the rear wheel assembly, though the tyre decals weren't easy to get on.

The swing arm attached to the frame

And the chain guard and a few other bits attached,

While I'm not a motorcyclist, I do like them and there's something about the Ducatti 'growl'.

Great build .... nice work so far!

About time I updated this

The next thing to do was the exhaust

Superleggara_7.avif

And then it got fitted

Superleggara_9.avif

Along with a few bits on either side, like the foot rest and stand.

Superleggara_10.avif

The radiator was built up next

Supperleggara_11.avif

and added in front of the engine

Superleggara_12.avif

Next up was the dashboard or whatever you call it these days

Superleggara_13.avif

Which is where it is at the moment. However, there should be a bit more in the next few days.

Moving on - the next thing to do was make up the front forks and wheel

temp-Image3-ZIXj-W.avif

And with that on, it looks rather like a bike.

Some people say you should undercoat red items in pink

temp-Imaged-FNJcj.avif

And it does seem to work

temp-Image6-Olakj.avif

There were some decals to go on to those bits

temp-Image4qo-L9-U.avif

After which they went on to the bike, along with a few more little bits and it was finished.

I'll post a few more photos in the Gallery
