PlaStix Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 US Light Tank, M3 Stuart, Late Production US Army 1st Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Division, Tunisia, 1943 Kit: Tamiya 1/35 35360 Extras: Redog Resin Stowage, a paintbrush bristle and some thread. The base is polystyrene from frozen pizza box packaging and some filler. Paints: Humbrol, Revell, Citadel, Railmatch & Vallejo acrylic paints, all applied by paintbrushes. Weathering: All weathering was done with standard paints applied with paintbrushes. The dusty effects are all done by applying the paints very, very thinned using stippling brushes. Build thread: HERE This was my project for the M3/M5 Stuart, Single Type Group Build, down in the Group Build section of the forum. It was a really nice kit to build and I have done all the weathering, this time, only using paints, rather than any specific weathering products which I normally use. All paints, as usual, were applied with hairy sticks. A lot of photos first on the base, with a desert photo backdrop - the initial three with a sepia effect: And the usual set against a plain background: The base on it's own: ....basically just pizza box styrene and filler. Thank you to everyone who took the time to comment in my build thread, to @modelling minion for being a great co-host and to @Enzo the Magnificent for organizing all the GBs! Comments and suggestions welcome. Kind regards, Stix 34 3

Bullbasket Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 The base could do with a bit more mozzarella and tomato. Very nice Stix. I really like the weathering effect that you've achieved on this. Great work. John. 1 1
