Hi all

Β

I've also posted this in the Tip n Tricks section as not sure where's best? Anyway while building an old Matchbox Honey tank the tracks have split where I applied super glue.....and then Tamiya extra thin. Now I've tracks that are in 3 or 4 pieces! 😭😭 I thought super glue was the 'go to' for gluing rubberised track tracks? Or do you think the tracks may have perished? Any help with what I can use to repair and glue them together and /or to the wheels would be much appreciated as I can't seem to see that any aftermarket tracks are available (even in 1/72 scale). Thank you in advance πŸ‘πŸ‘

Having a similar issue with my Matchbox Stuart over on the M3/M5 GB where my tracks have solidified.

Β

My solution was to 3D print the complete track units downloaded from the Internet. If you want, I can run a set off for you?

Wow! Yeh that would be awesome. I'm giving PVA a try and I'll see what happens. If fails then I'll be really interested in the 3d tracks though πŸ‘

I have an old matchbox stuart and the tracks have dried put, become brittle and shattered into multiple pieces just taking them out of the bag.

Β

Revell bought the moulds and may be able to supply replacement tracks. Their parts service is usually really good as I've used it a few times over the years.

Ah thanks for your reply. I don't think Revell reboxed the Stuart tank to be honest... which is a real shame

Try the Plastic Soldier C.ompany .Β  1/72 and simpler but their kits are quite fun.

Revell reboxed it at least once as mine is a Revell issue that came with a set of Matchbox's 8th Army figures.

Ahhh I didn't know that! Thanks very much I'll contact Revell then and see if they still have any spares πŸ‘πŸ‘
