dov Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Hallo Since I intend to build a helicopter project on the developement of such during WW2, I started this topic. I found several kits of these. 4 of them I have. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focke-Achgelis_Fa_223_Drache#:~:text=The Focke-Achgelis Fa 223,(40 ft) cylindrical fuselage. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focke-Achgelis_Fa_330#:~:text=The Focke-Achgelis Fa 330,were built by Weser Flugzeugbau Also the https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flettner_Fl_282#:~:text=The Flettner Fl 282 Kolibri, world's first series production helicopter. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doblhoff_WNF_342#:~:text=The Doblhoff%2FWNF 342 was, jets to drive the rotor What do I need? Any pictures, any sort of information. Whatever, links,...building reports... As you may understand, literature is seldom on this subject. Thanks in forward. Happy modelling

Michael louey Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 (edited) There was an English language version of Steve Coates book - now very expensive https://www.amazon.com.au/Helicopters-Luftwaffe-Classic-Luftwaffe-Classics/dp/1903223245 Another book (which I don't have) https://modelingmadness.com/scott/books/m3/rotorcraft.htm I built the 282 and 330 as part of a club display - good fun but fiddly builds. Had a quick search - This is another helicopter available in kit form: https://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Gal13/12601-12700/gal12689-Flettner-Duarte/00.shtm Cheers Michael Edited December 11, 2024 by Michael louey 2

I was not aware of their version of the Helicopter title, so many thanks for bringing it to my attention (as there is no way I will pay anything above € 150 for any Classic title - I did pay 150 twice, and feel guilty for giving in...). Edit: Now guess what happened... a "very good" first printing at exactly € 100 delivered from France. Great I could stick to my principles 🙂 Edited December 11, 2024 by tempestfan 1
